Dr. Robert S. Frost
|
|
Dr. Frost, string educator, clinician, composer, and conductor, is
internationally known for his compositions and educational materials. He is
a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a
Master of Music degree. He received his Doctor of Music Education degree
from the University of Northern Colorado with a minor in orchestral
conducting. He was a string specialist in the Cache County Schools for 30
years before retiring in 1994. Dr. Frost, a violist, was a charter member of
the Cache Chamber orchestra and assumed the conducting responsibilities in
the spring of 1995. He has conducted clinic and honor orchestras throughout
the United States. Listed among his numerous publications are the highly
acclaimed string curriculum "All For Strings", the revolutionary method
"Viva Vibrato", and the new string curriculum "Artistry In Strings" - all of
which he co-authored. He has held leadership positions in music education at
the state and national levels and remains active as a studio teacher,
composer, researcher, adjudicator and conductor. He is a past President of the
Utah Chapter of ASTA with NSOA.
